My interests include using an interdisciplinary approach of bioinformatics, microbiology and biochemistry to explore the role of bacterial competition in pathogenicity and in shaping complex communities such as the microbiome. I am particularly interested in how competitive interactions can allow or prevent pathogens invading a bacterial community.
