I joined the Foster Lab in 2019 following a varied research and postdoctoral career, starting with environmental science and somehow ending up developing whole genome sequencing based diagnostics for infectious diseases via the field of environmental microbiology. I am working as a Laboratory Manager in the Foster Lab, and also get to play with environmental, animal, and human microbial communities to elicit their interactions using culture and molecular-based methods.
